This is the first step towards developing your skills to become a better cake decorator. Fundamentals uses the most basic shape in cake decorating; the Round. This course provides the student with the key learning outcomes they will need to produce a professional sharp edge finish on their cakes, whether they be a hobbyist, pastry chef or professional cake decorator.

    How to colour icing
    How to acheive sharp edges of cake
    How to make and apply stripes
    How to make a large bow made out of icing
    How to cover a board
    Introduction to materials and tools

Take home your very own decorated round present cake ready for any celebration and the skills to recreate this cake at home in the future.

All ingredients, use of equipment and lunch are provided for in the cost of the class. As well as descriptive notes for you to take home.
